Mizuno has recently chosen TrueStrike golf mats for use in thier Scottish National Fitting Centre in Cumbernauld, Scotland . The Centre offers to the public the same equipment service Mizuno has long provided to European professionals through its official PGA Tour Workshop.

The Centre provides golfers with a unique opportunity to identify and test the exact specification of equipment to suit their physique and ability and boasts the latest fitting technology, now including Truestrike mats, as well as stocking over three hundred woods, irons and wedges.

Mizuno initially installed one TrueStrike mat to gauge the response from their club fitting staff and their customers. The response was resounding thumbs-up and soon Mizuno wanted more mats - but this time with a special request.

Craig Thompkins, TrueStrike sales manager, explains "Mizuno wondered if, in addition to branding their top surfaces, we could customize the mats by incorporating a Mizuno lie board into each one. We looked into it and after discussions with our production team we established we could do it and the results look great."

It's not all about looks though and Graeme Gorrie, Mizuno's Custom Fitting Manager at Cumbernauld, explains why "Mizuno chose the TrueStrike golf mat as it recreates playing from a fairway more realistically than any other golf mat. Our consumers hit better, straighter shots hence enjoying our fitting sessions more than with previous synthetic mats.

Furthermore, the adjustable tee function has made driver fitting much more effective as consumers can tee the ball to their preferred height.
