Tonbridge Golf Centre TrueBots Install

With the positive feedback received from golfers about the TrueStrike Golf Mat and TrueTee Ball automation, since its introduction early this year.

Tonbrisge Golf Centre decided to install the TrueBots automated lawn mower and ball picker powered by Belrobotics at their facility.

“The robots will dramatically change the way we operate now at the centre…. They will free up so much time for me to concentrate on other aspects of the facility whilst saving me money also!! They also bring another fun factor for customers coming to the range … Everybody just stops and watches what they are doing – it’s a great talking point!!”

TrueBot Bigmow - Robot Lawn Mower

The installation was carried out with minimal impact to the facility and began with the installation of the boundary guide wire. The wire itself presents no danger to people or animals and within several days is grown over and no longer visible, but will operate as a magnetic field to guide the robot. The next phase was the installation of the ball return system, which washes and returns the ball to the ball dispenser.

Once completed the robots are then programmed, so they can begin diligently and silently working across the whole of the outfield, equipped with sonar and a safety bumper, so they are able to slow down and avoid obstacles.

The Ballpicker automatically collects golf balls on driving ranges. Its advanced technology using a computer to activate 5 groups of 4 discs, makes it possible to silently and systematically collect the balls. Once its ball tank is full, the Ballpicker returns to its base to unload the balls and recharge its batteries. This tireless worker, capable of collecting up to 12,500 balls per day, is the most reliable and economic assistant for driving range managers.

The BigMow has also been engineered to be both simple to install and easy to maintain. It utilizes a buried low voltage wire to define the perimeter of its mowing area and requires minimal blade maintenance.Through the use of sonar and touch sensors, BigMow randomly navigates the lawn area and avoids obstacles in its path. When a recharge is required, it will automatically return to its charging station and returns to mowing once the batteries have been refreshed.
